How to Decorate a Room With a North Carolina Tar Heels Theme

The North Carolina Tar Heels are beloved by both alumni and fans who have never even walked onto the campus. Any fan of the Tar Heels would love to have an entire room dedicated to his favorite team. Here is how to decorate a room with a North Carolina Tar Heels theme.

1. Paint the room in Tar Heel blue. You can find the exact color on North Carolina jerseys or on the team logo, which can be found online.
2. Place a decal of the North Carolina "NC" or the North Carolina mascot on one of the walls of the room. Either of these symbolize the Tar Heels and would look great in the room. You could also choose to place both of these on separate walls.
3. Buy a replica Michael Jordan North Carolina jersey and show it off in the room. Jordan may very well be the greatest Tar Heel in the history of the basketball program. These jerseys can be found in almost any sports merchandise store as well as on numerous websites.
4. Dedicate a small portion of the room to Dean Smith. Smith was without question one of the greatest head coaches in the history of college basketball. Find pictures or posters of Smith and place them in the Tar Heel room. You could also find something unique, such as a Dean Smith bobblehead to display.
5. Find something to commemorate the rivalry between Duke and North Carolina for the room. This rivalry is arguably the greatest in all of college sports. Find a large poster, picture or other piece of merchandise that commemorates this ACC rivalry.
6. Place something in the room that represents North Carolina's football program. The Tar Heels may be known for the basketball program but North Carolina has also had some great football players. For example, you could find a Lawrence Taylor college football jersey or perhaps a picture of Taylor playing college football for North Carolina.
