How to Allow Links in the Windows Live Messenger

When you are having a conversation with someone using Windows Live Messenger, it can be fun to look at different websites together. The easiest way to do this is to send each other links in your Windows Live Messenger conversation window. In order to be able to receive live, clickable links in your conversation, you need to set Windows Live Messenger to allow them. The following steps will show you how to allow links in Windows Live Messenger.

Things You'll Need

• Computer using Microsoft Windows
• Windows Live Messenger

Instructions

1. Open Windows Live Messenger.

2. 

   Go to the “Tools” menu.

3. 

   Click on “Options” in the “Tools” menu drop down list. The “Options” dialog box will appear.

4. 

   In the white task pane on the left, click “Security.”

5. 

   Select the “Allow Links in the Conversation Window” checkbox and click “OK.”
