Sign up as a reality TV contestant. Reality TV means a shot at Hollywood. Forget about acting classes, past modeling experiences or singing lessons because it only takes 5 minutes on TV and people remember your face and name. William Hung, the "American Idol" reject is a perfect example. His rendition of Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" led him on numerous late night TV shows, a chance for his song to be played on radio and releasing a couple of albums.

Become a commercial star. Out of all the countless commercials on TV, there are only a few that stand out -- like the Subway commercials with Jared Fogle, a regular guy who claims to lose over a 100 of pounds off of Subway sandwiches. Audition for commercials, show off your acting skills and say your few lines on camera with greatness. Maybe out of pure luck the commercial you're on could be one of the greatest of all time.
Tips & Warnings
Understand that there is a price to pay when becoming famous. Sometimes it can even lead to shame in your family, strangers hating you and wishing you could go away or, if you are going the Paris Hilton route, throwing all your morals out the window.
Accept the fact that one day your 15 minutes of stardom will be over. So use the opportunity to make the most of it so you can go down in history.
Don't become familiar for all the wrong reasons. Unless you want to go to jail like former astronaut Lisa Nowak, due to her jealous rage in a love triangle, it is not worth the risk.
