If you are interested in auditioning for the 2008-2009 Cavalier Girls than you have come to the right place. This years auditions will take place between June 21st through June 29th. The exact date and location will be announced soon so make sure that you keep checking the website. They have already held several pre-audition workshop in April. They will however be adding additional Pre-audition workshop dates for June so keep your eyes on the website. The workshops are held at Lakeshore Dance and Gymnastics 701 Beta Dr, Suite 27 Cleveland, Ohio.

Step1

The workshops usually last about two hours long and are held in the evenings starting at 8:00pm. At each workshop they will show you various choreographed routines. This is a great opportunity for you to see what type of routine will need to be performed at the audition. It will also give you an opportunity to ask plenty of questions and perfect your dance technique.

Step2

In order to be a member of the Cavalier Girls dance group you will need to be fully committed. They want exceptional dancers who give a top performance each and every time. You will be judged on your overall dance ability, crowd appeal, and showmanship to name a few of the qualities they will be looking for. If you make it to the finals you will go through an interview process and will need to perform your own solo routine for the judges. You also have to have a schedule that makes you available for all home games, appearances, and rehearsals.

Step3

Experience in Jazz, Hip-Hop, Latin, and Character dance will help during the Cavalier Girls Dance Auditions. In order to apply for the Cavalier Girls you need to be 21 years old no later than November 1st, 2008. For the audition it is recommended than you wear a two piece outfit and skin colored tights. You should also have athletic, or dance shoes for the audition. You can visit the website for an application or you can call 216-420-2482 and request one via mail delivery. There is a application fee of $10, and you must include a 4x6 photo of yourself with the application. If you want to pre-register your application will need to be received by June 19th, 2008

Step4

They will be accepting walk-up applications but you will need to make sure that you arrive early and bring cash for the fee. You should also bring a bottle of water and a snack that can be eaten during a brief break.

Step5

In order to make sure you are fully prepared for the Cavalier girls auditions you should attend one of the workshops. You should also make a good diet and a regular workout routine part of your everyday life. The cost of the workshop is just $20 and you are required to bring cash. Remember that the key to making it to the finals is to bring plenty of energy and enthusiasm to the auditions. It is also important that you have plenty of knowledge about the Cavaliers and the NBA. Prepare well and pay close attention to everything you learn at the workshops.
