Things You'll Need:
- 1/2 cup fresh buttermilk
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise- regular, low-fat for fat free
- 2 tablespoons white-wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup of minced green onion
- 1/3 cup or more of chopped fresh herbs such as parsley, basil , chives, tarragon or dill (optionally use 2 tablespoons dried herbs)

Step 1
Whisk or use a jar with a tight fitting lid to shake together all ingredients until well blended.

Step 2
If using a whisk, stir in herbs, onion and bacon bits after whisking remaining ingredients.

Step 3
To add variety try adding finely chopped red or white onion and/or bacon bits or parmesan cheese. Use your imagination and experiment with different herbs and other ingredients.
