How to Cancel an AOL Account

Cancelling your AOL account is pretty easy. Just make a request and 12 days later your AOL will be cancelled without any further charges.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

1. # Type a fax letter to AOL. Their fax number is 904-232-4879.
2. # The subject should be: "Cancel my AOL account"
3. # Type the following comment: "I would like to cancel my AOL acount effective immediately."
4. # Also, include your telephone number, your address, your screen name, your email address, and the last four digits of the account from which payment is being made.
5. # Fax your request to cancel to: 904-232-4879

Tips & Warnings

• You should receive a letter of cancellation in about 15 days. Keep checking your bank account for further charges just to be sure it was canceled and no additional charges are be deducted from your account.
