# First, take a dumpling at the website you're surfing. If it's one that you've never seen before, I wouldn't take the risk.

# Look at the title of the animation. If it looks like something boring, chances are it's a trick to scare you.

# Look for anything that requires you to turn the volume up and/or concentrate hard on an image, it is usually a sign of a scary experience.

# Trick a friend who is not usually scared to look it up. Trick them and pretend you have already seen it.

# Turn off the sound. If it does happen to be a "shock flash" animation, it will scream at you.
Tips & Warnings
If you do run into to any scary faces while surfing the net, don't take it seriously.
Remind yourself that the thing is not real and really can't harm you.
Don't think of thoughts that will lead to that thought. It's kind of like reminding yourself of the scary thing.
If it is a maze that says there is a surprise at the end, it is an obvious prank.
Right clicking will let you know if it's an image or a flash by bringing up a different menu (for the "concentrate on the image" ones).
If you can't handle it just block pop-ups through your browser.
If its a Video on Youtube, put the video on pause and slide the thing that tells you how much time you have left on the video, through the video. If you see a face or something, chances are it will try to scare you. This way, there isnt any sound and its not moving.
Also, On youtube, check the videos comments before you watch it. Those can usually tell you if its scary or not
# If you do get scared, please don't send hate mails to the website while cursing them.
# Don't tell the website to put a warning because then it wouldn't be any fun to anyone else who saw it
