Since 2008 began, the government feels that there has been an increased risk of a recession. Some believe this all to be an illusion, others believe the economy really is on a down-slope. So... the government is spending money hoping to stimulate the economy once again. Will it work? If everyone spends their stimulus checks quickly and wisely, then yes it should temporarily fix the economy... or at least it will keep the government off the edge of their seats for a little while longer. Here are some ways you can spend your stimulus checks.

1. Make a list of the top ten items you have been wanting to purchase. Item "10" you could live without. Item "1" you are dying to have.
2. Research and compare prices online and take note of them on your list
3. Find places that are willing to haggle the price. You may as well get the most out of your check right?
4. Out of the ten items you listed in step 1, which item or items is the best deal?
5. Spend spend SPEND!

• There has been talk that retail electronic stores are willing to haggle pricing ... but only if you order by phone. Give it a try!
• Do not put the money away for a rainy day because it just might be around the corner. If the government is right, then we need to spend our rebate checks to help the economy.
• Think luxury rather than necessity. Again, get the most out of your check.
• Do not go out buying gourmet food at a restaurant such as a $200 pizza. Buy something that will LAST
