Step 1
Start out learning to move forward while riding a unicycle with one hand on that oh-so-helpful wall.
-
Step 2
Begin doing some of the rocks forward and back to get used to the motion of the unicycle before moving forward.
-
Step 3
Extend the rock by putting one foot completely down and up while pushing on the pedal, then do the same with the other foot. Do this slowly as you're leaning how to move forward while riding a unicycle. It could be argued that riding a unicycle could take longer than it did to build Rome. Well, maybe not—-but you get the idea. Take your time.
-
Step 4
Do ten pedals forward in the same manner as you were doing in Step 3, then do ten pedals backward. This will help you learn to more forward and back while riding a unicycle.
-
Step 5
Take a break once you can do ten pedals forward and back on a unicycle and praise yourself lavishly. Come back the next day and do twenty pedals forward and back, the next day do even more. These exercises will help you prepare for moving forward and back on your unicycle without a wall.
