Jumping stilts are cool, but it's important to put them on correctly before you do anything with them. This eHow can walk you through the process of doing just that. Then it's up to you to start jumping.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Put on your knee pads. That's the first step in putting on your stilts. Safety first. Make sure the knees pads are just below your knee because that's where the control arm of the stilts is going to hit when you start doing some moves in your stilts.

  2. Step 2

Slip your foot through the control arm as you put on your stilts, and place it on the base of the stilt. Position your heel and your calf so that they touch the calf support.

  3. Step 3

Fasten the straps around your feet as you put on your stilts. Do this as tightly as possible because you don't want your stilts slipping off while you're doing some trick or jumping.

  4. Step 4

Do the same with the last strap that's located near your knee: this strap needs to be as tight as you can manage without cutting off your circulation. You do not want your stilts coming off while you're jumping or anything else.

  5. Step 5

Take your time putting on your stilts. Putting your stilts on improperly or not tightening your straps tightly enough is a sure fire way to have an accident or worse. Be careful and cautious in your preparations.
