Camper tops or Bimini tops on boats have clear windows that tend to get dirty easily, making it difficult to see when you're out boating. Keeping these tops clean is not only a part of boat maintenance, but boat safety as well. Here are some ways to clean boat windows to keep your camper tops in good condition.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Buy a bottle of furniture oil for wood. These products, like Pledge Revitalizing oil, contain natural citrus oils that clean and moisturize the plastic windows on your camper top without leaving a residue.

  2. Step 2

Spray the oil on your windows. Only spray small amounts of oil at a time so it doesn't drip down to the canvas of the camper top and leave oil stains.

  3. Step 3

Rub the window down with a clean, dry towel. Work your way around the window, spreading the oil evenly until you have covered the entire window in oil.

  4. Step 4

Wipe the oil off until it's dry. If the towel you are using to spread the oil on is dirty, switch to a clean cloth to avoid spreading dirt particles around the window.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always wipe down your windows when you begin to notice a build up of dirt and debris to prevent damage to your windows.
  • Never buy furniture oil that contains wax. Regular furniture polishing sprays contain wax. If you spray these products on your windows, they leave a waxy residue. Only use furniture oil containing natural citrus oil.
