Step 1
Start with your arm across your body and the nunchucks on the opposite hip. Hold your nunchucks properly, with your thumb pointing up touching the top rim of the chuck.
-
Step 2
Swing your wrist up and over until it is chest high on the other side of your body. Practice this a few times to get the movement down and build up speed.
-
Step 3
Release your grip as you twist your wrist and straighten your hand as if you were shaking hands with your thumb up. Do this movement as your hand moves across and up. Try it until you are able to build up speed.
-
Step 4
Allow the nunchucks to spin around your thumb and grab the last side when it makes a rotation. Your hand position does not have to be perfect here, but as you practice you can grab the nunchucks in the correct place.
-
Step 5
Practice across your body first and then try the move straight up and down. Once you learn the move, add it to other moves for combinations and transitions.
