Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Carved stamp set
  • Wood block
  • Ink pad
  • Scrap paper
  • Stickers

Step1
Take the stamp set, which should be cut out and ready to use, and stick it on the wooden block to prepare your stamp.
Step2
Press the stamp set on the wooden block, making sure that it is securely placed onto the block.
Step3
Ink up your new stamp by pressing it firmly onto an ink pad.
Step4
Push the stamp onto a piece of scrap paper to test out the stamp.
Step5
Look over the imprint to make sure it looks just the way you want it to.
Step6
Fix any mistakes in the stamp that you see. If the design is backwards or letters are incorrectly placed, remove the stamp and fix your mistakes by carving the stamp or creating a new stamp set.
Step7
Place a sticker of your stamp's design on top of the stamp once your stamp is complete so you know what the design of the stamp is at first glance.

Tips & Warnings

  • It is important to test out your stamp first before using it in your stamping projects because this allows you to fix any possible mistakes that could occur in placing or carving out your stamp.
  • Make a copy of your stickers onto one sheet before removing the stickers and place them into your stamp sets so you can tell what stamps you have in the set without having to dig through the stamps.
