Things You'll Need:
- Light box
- Two-sided stylus
- Heavyweight paper or cardstock in white or a pastel color
- Small square of wax paper
- Brass template
- Colored chalk
- Sponge
-
Step 1
Tape template in the middle of the light box. Turn the light box on, and position the cardstock over the top of the template. The design will be seen through the cardstock, making it easy to place the design in the desired location.
-
Step 2
Rub the paper lightly with the wax paper. The coating from the wax paper transfers to the cardstock enabling the stylus to move smoothly while outlining the design.
-
Step 3
Apply light pressure while using the larger side of the stylus to outline the edges of the design. If there are smaller details on the design, flip the stylus over and use the smaller end to outline the more delicate features.
-
Step 4
Turn off the light box. Look at the design to see if all areas were outlined and visible. If any areas were missed, turn the light box on again, and re-outline the missing spots.
-
Step 5
Lift the paper carefully off the template. Turn the paper over to see the embossed image.
-
Step 6
Dab the sponge in chalk. Very lightly rub the sponge over the raised areas to give a very delicate tint of color.
