If you use rubber stamps for crafting, you can purchase complete stamp sets from numerous sources. Or you can create a new craft project by buying the rubber stamps unmounted and mounting them yourself.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase a set of unmounted rubber stamps. The set will come with stickers that identify the stamps, wooden blocks and a rubber stamp mat with a foam backing. The mat will be perforated, making it easy to separate.

  2. Step 2

Separate the rubber stamps and cut the stickers apart. Match the stamps to the appropriate wooden blocks and stickers.

  3. Step 3

Trim around the image of the stamp you wish to mount, using straight cuts. Do not cut curves or angles into the rubber; you easily can cut too much foam from the cushion layer and ruin the stamp.

  4. Step 4

Remove the paper backing from the rubber stamp, exposing the adhesive. Position the stamp on the block and press to adhere it to the wood.

  5. Step 5

Peel the backing from a sticker and place it on top of the corresponding stamp. Smooth the sticker to remove any bubbles.

Tips & Warnings
  • If mounting alphabet or corner stamps, place the rubber stamp in the corner of the wooden block. Then place the sticker in the same location on the top of the stamp. It then will be easy to line up the letters by placing the corner of the stamp in the desired location.
