Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Wash and clean your chicken.

  2. Step 2

Get a large pot and place onions, olive oil, chunks of garlic and other flavorings you might want to put into your chicken mix. Make sure the oven is already placed on 450 degrees.

  3. Step 3

Allow your broth to simmer and give of its flavour. Once you believe it is at the right temperature, you can then think about placing the chicken back in the pot.

  4. Step 4

Remove your chicken out of its dish and place the whole chicken on top of all the broth mix. Make sure it is rested right on top of the broth so the juices seep into the chicken skin.

  5. Step 5

Take a spatula and scrap off any of the left over chicken juices. This juice will coat the top of the chicken and make the chicken skin tender and moist while cooking in the oven.

  6. Step 6

Place some potatoes around the chicken in the pot so it gives the chicken some structure. Place the lid on the chicken pot and cook it in the oven at 425 degrees for 30 minutes. After this point, take the lid off and cook it in the oven for 15 minutes to make it crunchy.
