Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Platter
- Parsley
- Gravy boat
- Spoon
- Extra cloth napkin
- Wet naps
- Tongs for removing and plating ribs
- Chef's knife
Step1
Remove your barbecue ribs from the oven or grill. Hold them up so that any extra sauce drains off the ribs. The last thing you want is a serving platter that is a saucey mess.
Step2
Section the ribs so that you define each portion. This way as the platter is passed around, people can easily grab their portion. Provide tongs on the side of the platter so that people can easily grab the ribs.
Step3
Garnish your platter of ribs with a piece of parsley or greenery. When you serve gourmet barbecue ribs or short ribs in gravy, you want to heighten the presentation over something they'd get at a rib joint. Garnishing the platter will make the ribs look more elegant.
Step4
Pour extra barbecue sauce or gravy in a gravy boat. When you serve the ribs, you don't want excess sauce splattering all around as people pass the platter. Provide a gravy boat filled with the sauce, and they can help themselves to extra sauce.
Step5
Provide an extra cloth napkin and wetnap at each place setting for the ribs.
