Linguine with shrimp and capers is delicious, healthy and easy to make. Follow a few easy steps and have this dish prepared and ready to enjoy in just minutes with a few simple ingredients.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Pot of water
  • Salt
  • Linguine
  • Shrimp
  • Seafood seasoning
  • Shallots
  • Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Butter
  • Saute pan
  • Lemon peel
  • Lemon juice
  • White wine
  • Capers
  • Veggies
  • Serving bowl

Step1
Boil water for the pasta in a pot covered with a lid. Once the water comes to a boil, add salt and drop in the linguine. 1 pound of linguine will feed four people.
Step2
Prep the shrimp. If you bought them fresh, peel and devein them. Sprinkle seafood or shrimp seasoning on them and put them aside.
Step3
Chop 1 small shallot and 2 cloves of garlic. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once the butter melts, toss in the shallots and garlic. Allow them to cook all the way down, and watch for the shallots to turn clear. Add the shrimp and cook for a few minutes. The shrimp will cook quickly so have the rest of the ingredients ready to go.
Step4
Grate some lemon peel, squeeze in some of the juice and stir the white wine into the pan to deglaze the pan. Toss in some capers, but remember they are salty, so you only need a few. Throw in the vegetables.
Step5
Drain the linguine and add it to the pan. Serve in a large bowl, family style, with garlic bread.
