How to Make Sweet Bruschetta Dessert

Try your hand at making some delicious, sweet bruschetta, and it's guaranteed to be one of the most mouthwatering desserts you'll ever taste. The result will be a dessert that looks like it came from a fine bakery.

Things You'll Need:

  • 20 (1-inch) slices of bruschetta toast (Italian bread)
  • 6 tbsp. hazelnuts
  • 6 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Nutella hazelnut spread
  1. Step 1

    Use a serrated knife to cut the bruschetta toast into slices about 1-inch wide. Place the sliced bruschetta in a toaster oven, or just toast them on the rack of your oven, preheated to 350 degrees. Remove the bruschetta when it's golden brown. You can use Italian bread to make the toasts.

  2. Step 2

    Place the hazelnuts in a food processor, and pulse them until they're ground very finely. Mix the hazelnuts with brown sugar and set them aside.

  3. Step 3

    Peel the bananas. Cutting at an angle, slice them thinly and set them aside.

  4. Step 4

    Melt the butter in a saucepan and set it aside.

  5. Step 5

    Place the bruschetta toast on an ungreased bakingsheet and spread a generous amount of nutella hazelnut spread on each piece.

  6. Step 6

    Generously layer the thin banana slices on each piece of bruschetta toast and brush the melted butter over the bananas with a pastry brush.

  7. Step 7

    Sprinkle the hazelnut mixture over the bananas. Place the bruschetta dessert under the broiler for about 30 seconds to glaze the bananas and lightly toast the hazelnuts. Watch carefully to be sure it doesn't burn.
