How to Clean an Electric Pasta Maker

With an electric pasta maker, one can make homemade fresh pasta anytime. However, it can be a chore to clean the pasta maker properly unless you approach the task with an organized plan.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Remove the front part of the pasta maker where the pasta comes out. Using a wooden dow rod or other sharp point, clean out the pasta between the grooves, holes and curves of the dies. Remove all the pasta.

  2. Step 2

    Use the same dow rod or pointed object to dig the pasta out of the body of the machine. Use a small brush to brush away pieces from the hard to reach spots.

  3. Step 3

    Wipe the outside of the electric pasta maker with a damp cloth. Examine the machine to makes sure you have cleaned out all of the pasta from any nooks and crannies. Clean your electronic pasta maker after each use.

Tips & Warnings
  • Allow the pasta to dry out before cleaning it. Dry pasta is easier to remove than moist, fresh pasta.
  • Never put the pasta maker or its parts in water to soak or they may rust.
