Things You'll Need:
- Mushrooms
- Seasonings (salt, garlic or other spices)
- Olive oil
- Cutting board and knife
- Cooking pan
-
Step 1
Take the mushrooms and place them on a cutting board. Make sure they are clean and big. Brush off any excess manure from the mushrooms so that they are spotless and almost white looking.
-
Step 2
Start by taking a mushroom one at a time and slice them in a good size. For example, 1/4 of an inch would be suitable size, and do not make the slices too thick or big because it will take longer to cook.
-
Step 3
Keep the appearance of the mushroom as you are cutting each slice. This tip is important as you want people to know what is on the pizza bread and be able to identify the vegetable.
-
Step 4
Add an 1/8th cup of olive oil to a frying pan and swirl it around so it covers the surface. Place the mushrooms in the pan and give them a quick toss around so they are all covered in oil.
-
Step 5
Simmer your mushrooms with a little more olive oil and them keep stirring them for a minute or a minute and a half. Add any additional salt or seasonings.
-
Step 6
Make sure you stir them over as much as possible so they do not get burned or too tough. Let the oil absorb into the mushrooms as much as possible. Let them cool a bit, and now you can add the sautéed mushrooms to your pizza bread.
