1
Use a microphone when you direct the beauty pageant interviews. Ideally, you would have your own microphone, and there would be one on a stand for the contestants, or you can share one microphone and pass it from the interviewer to the interviewee.
-
2
Find a suitable container for the written questions. Consider using a basket, hat or decorated box.
-
-
3
Write or type the interview questions on a small piece of paper and fold it twice.
-
4
Create questions that are not too difficult, and take the age of the contestants into consideration. Choose subjects that are within the experience of all contestants and easily answered with a few well-chosen sentences.
-
5
Give the contestants a list of questions in advance, so they have an idea of what to expect. Do not assign a specific question in advance when you direct beauty pageant interviews.
-
6
Ask each contestant to draw a question from the container as she appears on stage for the interview section of the pageant. The contestant will hand the piece of paper to the interviewer.
-
7
Open the question and read it slowly and accurately to the contestant. Repeat the question if necessary, and don't forget to give the microphone to the interviewee so the answer can be heard by the audience and judges.
