After you've put together your razor-blade bracelet, you need to attach the clasp so that you can wear it. You can make clasps from safety pins to give your jewelry an edgy and alternative look, or you can purchase clasps that are already made. Either way, it's easy to create a bracelet that makes you stand out in a crowd.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Bend a safety pin backward until it's straight. Place needle-nose pliers as close to the circle on the bottom of the safety pin and push down until you are either able to cut it or make an indentation. If you can't cut the safety pin, then insert the needle-nose pliers into the circle and bend the indented piece of the safety pin until it breaks off.

  2. Step 2

Keep the part of the safety pin that has the clasp part on it, and then either by hand or with your needle-nose pliers bend it so that it folds into a loop so you can close it like you would a regular safety pin. Be careful to not break the wire.

  3. Step 3

Tie a knot on one end of your wire bracelet. Insert the safety-pin clasp through the knot, pulling it until you can put it inside the head of the safety pin. Use needle-nose pliers to pull it tight.

  4. Step 4

Glue both the knot and the safety pin clasp to hold them in place.

  5. Step 5

Take the other side of your bracelet and knot it as close to the end as you can. Then slip the safety pin through the center of the knot and close it like you would a normal safety pin. Attach and reattach your razor blade bracelet by opening your safety pin clasp and removing the knot.

  6. Step 6

Purchase already-made jewelry clasps as an alternative, and then knot or bend each end of bracelet wire and fit it into each clasp. Tighten them with your needle-nose pliers to finish your bracelet.
