Using rollers is a great way to curl your hair. Depending on the size of the rollers you can create lots of body and nice big curls or a mass of little curls. It is important to section and curl your hair correctly for great curls

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Spray water bottle
  • Hair-styling product
  • Comb
  • Rollers and pins
  • Hair spray
  1. Step 1

Wet the hair and apply a styling gel to the hair to help hold the curl. Section the hair to begin curling. You want the sections to be well-defined.

  2. Step 2

Roll the hair on the top of the head and work your way toward the back. It is important to use small, even sections of hair and to wrap the hair tightly around the roller. Pin the curler in place.

  3. Step 3

Once you have rolled the back of the hair, begin to roll the sides of the hair.

  4. Step 4

Check the roller set to make sure that the rows go in a straight line. It is important to pin the rollers firmly in place. You can do this by using a pin on each side of the roller. If you have missed any hair or you have not rolled in a straight line, then you should correct your mistakes.

  5. Step 5

Section the front of your hair, beginning at the sides. You may wish to use smaller rollers to accentuate the face. Once you have done the sides of the face, roll your hair on the top front of your face. Roll it back away from your face.

  6. Step 6

Allow the rolled hair to dry by blowing it dry or sitting under a hair dryer.

  7. Step 7

Remove the rollers carefully so that you do not pull out the curl style of the hair. Set with hair spray.

Tips & Warnings
  • The size of the roller determines the amount of curl you will have. The larger the roller, the less curl it will give you. Large rollers primarily straighten the hair and add volume, while smaller curlers add lots of curl.
