After you complete your nail art scene, brush on your top coat to seal it. After that, only one step remains. Clean up around the edges of your fingernails to give your nail art a finished, professional look. Don't let stray polish take away from your beautiful nail art scene.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Acetone
  • Polish corrector stick or nail art brush
  1. Step 1

Remove the lid from the bottle of acetone. Pour a small amount of acetone into the lid.

  2. Step 2

Dip your polish corrector stick into the acetone. If you do not have a polish corrector stick, use a nail art brush. However, polish corrector sticks are the best option.

  3. Step 3

Run the polish corrector stick along the edges of your fingernails to remove any stray polish marks. Rub the polish corrector stick along the edge of each fingernail. Go slowly so you don't smudge the nail art scene. Press your fingers firmly onto a flat surface to keep them steady.

  4. Step 4

Run the polish corrector stick below each cuticle to remove nail polish. To remove the cuticles completely, rub slightly harder in areas with large amounts of stray polish.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a thin cotton swab to remove excess nail polish if you don't have a polish corrector stick or nail art brush.
