Step 1
Take high-resolution photos (2000 pixel minimum) of your subject in a well-lit area. Have the subject look directly into the camera with a straight face and closed lips. Hold the camera at subject level and zoom in. Take ten head and side shots each.
-
Step 2
Upload the pictures into your computer and start your photo manipulation software. Select "Enhance," "Adjust Lightning" and "Shadows/Highlights." Use the slide bar to improve the images.
-
Step 3
Choose "Enhance/Adjust Colors" and then "Adjust Hue/Saturation." Slide the Hue, Saturation and Lightness controls to improve the photos. Spend only five minutes per photo. It is better to retake photos than to spend hours performing software tweaks.
-
Step 4
Inspect the photos. Discard pictures where the model's features don't show up because of shadows or if they have too much light. Using these images create distorted Poser texture maps.
-
Step 5
Choose the best front and side photos. Compare them for tonal quality. Poser reads information from the two photos shaping the model and creating a texture map. Perform final adjustments if necessary. Exit photo manipulation software. Start Poser, choose a G2 model and load the photos into the Face Room.
