How to Grow Hair With Poser Software
Poser is a 3-D character creation and animation software package. Artists use dynamic hair and clothing to create photo-realistic images and movies. You can add dynamic hair to body parts making beards, mustaches and chest hair. Artists can even create fur by adding dynamic hair to animals.

1
Open Poser and select a character. All models need a hair cap before entering the Hair Room. From the library tab, choose "Hair>Poser 6>Skull Caps." Use the parameter dials to fit the cap to G2 or Daz3D models like Victoria, Michael or Stephanie. Apply textures, face and body morphs.
-
2
Click and enter the Hair Room. Select "New Growth Group." Save it as "Hair_1" and click "OK," then choose "Edit Growth Group." Then the artists will choose areas where they want hair to grow. Left click and drag creating a rectangle. The selected hair changes color from gray to orange. Change camera angles to select more hair.

Enter values for the Hair Length, Length Variance, Pull Back, Pull Down and Pull Side parameter dials. Increase the Hair Length to give the character long hair. Enter "0" for Length Variance if the character's hairs are all equal lengths.
-
4
Use the pull dials to move the hair on the character's scalp. Pull Back and Pull Down usually have higher values than Pull Side.
-
5
Choose "Hair Edit" and begin styling the hair. Clip hairstyle samples from magazines and use the clippings as a style guide to create different hairstyles for your characters.
