Learning how to maintain and repair your own vehicle can save you time and money in most cases. This is also true for the windshield washer system, which is one of the most important systems in the vehicle and contributes to the overall safety of the vehicle.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Reinstall the windshield solvent reservoir by pushing it back under the fender to the place it belongs on the vehicle. The nub should fit securely into an orifice on the car and pop into place. Next, reconnect the hose. This is done by just pushing it into place. There is no hose clamp because the hose is outfitted with ridges that hold it into place.

  2. Step 2

Use a telescopic device with a magnet on the end to send in the upper and lower mounting bolts. Start each of them, tightening them both by hand before tightening them down. This will allow you to make sure the holes are lined up and you will not damage the bolts upon tightening. If the holes are lined up, go ahead and tighten them down.

  3. Step 3

Test the windshield washer system. It is a good idea to test the windshield washer system before reinstalling the front end and fender assembly, in case there is something not working. Put some solvent in the reservoir and use the switch inside the car to test the system.

  4. Step 4

Double check everything and make sure all the hoses, connections and other components behind the fender are installed correctly and not in the way of reinstalling the other components of the front end.
