Step 1
Locate the nub on the water solvent reservoir. This will need to line up with the efface on the body. You will need to get behind the fender, so pull the fender out and put the reservoir in place. It may be a tight fit, so work with it a little to clear the body and wheel.
-
Step 2
Watch for the wiring that goes to your lights and other components, taking care not to damage or disconnect them in any way. This may be tricky, especially in a compact vehicle, where everything is a little tighter fit. You may want to check the wiring with a spotlight to make sure you can see exactly what is in the way.
-
Step 3
Find the mounting bolts you set aside while disassembling the windshield washer system. Make sure the reservoir is securely in place and the nub is aligned with the body. Use an extension to place the bolts into the holes, as they will be out of reach. Start both bolts by hand before you tighten them. This allows you to make sure the holes are lined up correctly.
-
Step 4
Tighten the mounting bolts on the windshield solvent reservoir. Tighten them down to a quarter of a turn past snug, or hand tight. It doesn't have to be much and the bolts are not hardened, which means you could break them, causing a bigger problem in the end.
