A Boneless is a street skateboarding trick that is classified as a footplant trick in skater lingo. They are done best on a longboard (48 inches) and it's a fairly easy trick to perform. Basically you grab the board, jump, and then land back on it. They can be done on flat ground, but look much sweeter when a curb or mini ramp is used to launch them.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Carve into the mini ramp or wall, going at a fairly good speed. At the top, grab the board's rail with your hand that is naturally trailing behind. Make certain you get a good grip. You can also riding straight up the ramp, but carving looks cooler and makes the trick a little faster and smoother.
Step2
Plant your forward foot on the cement. Push down on the board's tail with your rear foot while you lift the board up with your hand. The back foot will stay on the board over the truck. The foot that stays on the board during a boneless is called the planting foot while the other foot is referred to as the pushing foot.
Step3
Jump off the ramp. You don't need large air, just a boost to get you up. Guide the board with your hand into a arc. Use your footplant to get yourself high.
Step4
Control the board with your hand. It's key to have a nice, tight grip. Make sure the board stays close to you with the back foot right above the back truck. Don't let your foot get near the kicktail tip of the board. If it comes down on the kicktail, it can snap the board in two.
Step5
Land with your back foot above the truck and roll away smoothly.
