Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Set the upper middle body assembly right side up on a workbench. Check the placement of the clear plastic cone gear on top of the assembly over the cone gear bushing on the suction hole. The cone gear should sit flat and engage the upper gear so the two gears turn together and the teeth mesh.
-
Step 2
Pick up the upper middle body from underneath. Hold it relatively level, since the gears are held together only by gravity.
-
Step 3
Take the Aquabug's shroud in your other hand, holding it by the small protrusion toward the back and lower it over the upper middle body assembly. Guide the top of the cone gear into the hole in the center of the shroud.
-
Step 4
Slip one hand under the upper middle body assembly and turn the shroud and upper middle body assembly upside down together. Lay them on the workbench. Line up the 4 screw holes in the bottom of the upper middle body frame and tighten the screws with the electric drill set on the lowest torque setting.
-
Step 5
Spin the upper end of the cone gear protruding through the top of the shroud to be sure the gears spin freely.
