Plant Spanish Oak acorns in one large growing container--it's not necessary to plant each acorn in its own container. Check the Spanish Oak acorns one last time to see if they are healthy. Maintaining the Spanish Oak acorns is easy and before long you will have a small forest of Spanish Oaks.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Fill a large, well-drained growing container with a top grade soil mixture and a touch of fertilizer or growth solution before planting the Spanish Oaks acorns. Make sure there is enough room to prevent crowding.

  2. Step 2

Clean the Spanish Oak acorns before planting. This removes any leftover harmful contaminants and also moistens the acorn for easy planting.

  3. Step 3

Give the acorns some extra room to grow. Keep them 2 or 3 inches apart. Spanish Oak are susceptible to oak wilt and other diseases and if one of the acorns does show signs of disease just pluck it out before it contaminates the rest of the crop.

  4. Step 4

Put the acorns about half way into the ground and press the soil gently around the top of the acorn as you plant it. This will firmly set the acorn in the soil.

  5. Step 5

Douse the acorns with water from a sprinkler or watering can. Do not use too much water pressure or let the water land with great force. Continue keeping the soil wet but not soaked while the Spanish Oak acorns grow.
