Building a snowman can be a lot of fun. It is important to add the little details to make your snowman stand out in a crowd. Gather things from around the yard and your home to create a snowman that your entire neighborhood will remember for years to come.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Pack a snowball tightly to begin the head of the snowman.

  2. Step 2

Roll the snowball evenly until you have a ball big enough for the head. You should end up close enough to easily carry the head to it.

  3. Step 3

Add a fresh layer of snow to the top of the middle ball on the snow man.

  4. Step 4

Push a stick halfway into the top of the middle snowball. You should have a good six inches still sticking out of the snowman.

  5. Step 5

Slide the head down onto the stick. Then pack snow in around the base of the head to stabilize the snowman.

  6. Step 6

Smooth the head of the snowman and fill in any holes by packing snow into them. You can freshen up the head by packing top snow into any spots that might appear dirty.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember that your head needs to be big enough to wear a hat. Additionally you should have enough room to make eyes, a nose and a mouth on the head of the snowman.
  • Dress warmly. Gloves and boots can protect you from frostbite. If you get too cold go inside to warm up and then come back out to finish up the project.
