Learning to juggle is not only fun and a great skill to use for entertainment, it is a fantastic way for someone to learn better balance, eye-to-hand coordination and focusing skills. Juggling cigar boxes is a little more difficult than the average ball, but can be achieved with a little practice.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Grasp the three boxes together using the end boxes to hold the center box in place. This is the basic starting stance for cigar box juggling. The most basic move in juggling cigar boxes is the three box lift.

  2. Step 2

Hold the three boxes in the position mentioned above at mid-hip level. This is the starting point of the three box lift. In an over-arm hold bring them up, releasing them as straight as possible, then catching them in the starting stance with all three in a row, the center box secured by the outer two boxes.

  3. Step 3

Practice doing this move on a small level, so you can get the positioning and timing right. It is important to make sure the boxes are all as straight as possible when you release them, making it easier to catch them for the big finish.

  4. Step 4

Take it up a notch. As you become more confident in this juggling cigar box trick, you can take the height of the trick to the next level. Release the boxes for a longer amount of time or throw them higher to get a bigger reaction from the audience.
