Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Start by using the old favorites like Pin the Tail on the Donkey, musical chairs and dunking for apples. Spend the money you have budgeted on prizes for the kids rather than on different party games.
Step2
Try having a pool party. If you have a pool in your yard this is another standard favorite that requires no additional money on your part. You can have pool games such as volleyball, swimming laps and Marco Polo. Make your own game rules so kids can still get prizes. For example, in the volleyball game, have everyone start the game and as they miss, they can do something else. The last one is the winner and he gets a prize. Be sure and have consolation prizes for everyone and the kids will have a blast.
Step3
Have a costume party and give out rewards for the best costume, the most original costume and even the worst costume. You can pick certain kids to judge the contest and give awards to the judges as well as to the winners--again remember consolation prizes for everyone else.
Step4
Put a spin on some of the games. Rather than bobbing for apples, you can have kids pass the apple from one person to another using everything but their hands. This can be a riot to watch. Twister is another game that kids can enjoy and they will end up laughing up a storm as the game gets going.
Step5
Make sure the kids have fun. This is the most important thing to do at a kid's party. Any games will work, just figure out the best approach and the kids will have a blast.
