How to Play Lazy Pineapple

Pineapple is a poker game similar to Texas Hold 'Em in which players use a group of community cards in addition to their individual hands. Pineapple has three variations, including Lazy Pineapple. These games provide a similar experience to Texas Hold 'Em but also provide enough variation to keep poker night exciting.

Instructions

1. Deal each player three cards face down. After the players have looked at their cards, a betting round is held. The betting round begins with the person to the left of the dealer.

2. Discard one card from the top of the poker deck and place three cards in the center of the table face up. The three cards make a community pile, which in Lazy Pineapple is called the flop.

3. Give one card back. Each player chooses one card from her deck to discard. This leaves each player with two cards in her hand and three cards in the community pile. Start another round of bidding with the person on the left of the dealer.

4. Provide one more face up card to the community pile. Before the dealer deals the face up card he again discards the top card on the poker deck. In Lazy Pineapple this is called the turn. After the turn, hold the final bidding round, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.

5. Put one more face up card in the community pile. Once again, before dealing the face up card, discard the top card from the poker deck.

6. Determine the winner of the Lazy Pineapple hand. The winner is the player with the best five card hand which can be assembled from the five community cards and the two cards in the player's hand.
