Step 1
Look over the battlefield. Find areas where you'll have an advantage over your opponent. Things like high spots with few access points for ranged units, lake edges or steep cliffs for melee engagement and cover are all good finds.
-
Step 2
Move your squads together. Squad figures don't do very well when they become separated so keep them as tightly grouped as possible.
-
Step 3
Examine your opponent's figures and see if you can find any strategic weaknesses. Figures that have strong melee attacks are good targets for your ranged units while you move your melee units in to attack.
-
Step 4
Find units that your opponent moved away from their central army and try to pick off a few before the army catches up or the units can retreat. These hit-and-run tactics can mean the difference between winning and losing a scenario.
-
Step 5
Identify threats to your army and weaken them as soon as possible. A melee-based juggernaut will still have to reach your army before it can attack so try to take it out with ranged units as soon as you can, even if it makes you take your attention off other threats.
