Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Include plenty of vegetables in your diet, like sprouts, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and green peppers. Asparagus, brussels sprouts, snow peas and artichokes are also good choices.

  2. Step 2

Choose lean meat cuts, such as lamb, fish, skinless chicken breast and turkey. Tofu is also a good selection if you're a vegetarian or just want more variety.

  3. Step 3

Eat snacks between meals to keep your metabolism working. Low-carb snacks include deviled eggs, hard-boiled eggs and celery sticks with tuna salad. Berries with cottage cheese are also a good option, as well as nuts and seeds.

  4. Step 4

Opt for low carb fruits. Fruit is important in the cleansing and detoxifying of the body. Some low-carb fruits are berries, grapefruit, melons, plums, peaches and pears. Papaya is great; it's not only low carb but also contains enzymes to help with digestion.

  5. Step 5

Drink plenty of water. Having black coffee eliminates the carbs in the cream. Unsweetened tea is another option, as well as carbonated diet drinks in moderation.

Tips & Warnings
  • Fruits highest in sugar content are bananas, dried fruit and mango.
