Things You'll Need
- 30 to 60 daisies for each bouquet
- Floral tape
- Bucket
- Stem stripper (optional)
- Stem cutter
- Scissors
- Paper towels
- 1 to 2 inch wide ribbon
Instructions
-
Trim and assemble the flowers
-
1
Remove excess and damaged foliage from the stems of each flower. Pull off any unattractive petals as well. Use your hands or a stem stripper.
-
2
Place the stems in a bucket of water. Cut the stems at an angle 2 inches from the bottom while holding them underwater.
-
-
3
Keep the flowers in a bucket filled halfway with cool water until ready to assemble the bouquets.
-
4
Hold one stem at a time with one hand while you add to the bouquet with the other hand.
-
5
Keep the center flowers at the same height and in a square shape.
-
6
Arrange the other flowers around the center, sloping downward to form a dome shape.
-
7
Use floral tape to bind the stems about 3 to 4 inches from the flower heads.
Continue wrapping the tape around the stems towards the bottom. Stop 2 inches from the bottom of the stems.
Complete the handle
-
8
Cut the ends of the stems until they're all even. They should be about 8 inches long. Dry them with a paper towel.
-
9
Cut a length of ribbon three times as long as the stems.
-
10
Tuck the end of the ribbon into the top of the floral tape. Begin wrapping the ribbon in a spiral down the length of the stem.
-
11
Secure the top of the ribbon with pins. Push them through the ribbon into the stems.
-
12
Create a bow if you wish by tying a separate length of ribbon below the flower heads. Once you've attached the ribbon, tie a bow.
-
13
Use this bouquet for the bride, bridesmaids, flower girl or all wedding attendants.
