Hold the longest piece of ribbon in your hand and make the first loop. Make a second loop by bringing a piece of ribbon up around the back of the first loop.

Push a needle and thread through the center of the ribbon and wrap it with thread. Pull the thread tight to cinch the middle. Sew the barrette onto the back of the hair bow.

Fold your small piece of ribbon in half so it's only ½" wide. Tie the ribbon so it has a knot in the center. Wrap it around the center of the barrette so the knot is on top of the bow and sew the ends of the small ribbon together.
