How to Do Endovers on a Skateboard

Endovers are one of those basic skateboarding moves that are really easy to learn, but done right, can really make your freestyle footwork skills look great. Endovers are simply a combination of 180 degree pivots that you begin off the board's nose, and then again around the nose, so it looks like you have done a 360 in the same direction.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Roll forward, getting up to speed. This is one of those tricks where you don't have to be going too fast.

  2. Step 2

Position one foot on the board's nose with the other at the board's tail. Flick the board into a 180 pivot around the front wheels. You can go frontside or backside, whichever way you are comfortable with. The wheels don't have to go very high off the ground.

  3. Step 3

Keep your body weight centered over the board. Roll out of the pivot in a fakie position. Riding fakie means that the foot you usually have in front will now be in back.

  4. Step 4

Go into a second 180 pivot. But for this pivot turn it off the tail. Turn your body, moving in the same direction as you did while doing the first pivot, which will make your body turn around in a full 360 degree rotation, even though the skateboard has been pivoting.

  5. Step 5

Do it again. Keep going, and then switch it up and do it in the opposite direction. When you have the Endovers down, take it into an entire endover sequence with 540 spins, and then 180 pivots on the nose to some off the tail riding fakie. Once you know the basic Endover, the footwork lines you can do with it are endless. Though it is a simple move, you can build them into seriously complicated freestyle lines.
