How to Enter the World of Warcraft Arena Tournament

World of Warcraft hosts separate servers based on the arena gameplay style, where small teams compete against each other in a closed-in setting for prizes and a team rating. These servers are unique because they have no instances, battlegrounds or other usual server accessories. Also, the characters you make start at level 70.

Instructions

    • 1

Register online for the arena tournament at the World of Warcraft website by clicking the "Arena Tournament" link and following the instructions. You will be charged a fee for each six week tournament period.

    • 2

Create a new level 70 character on the arena tournament realm. Make sure to maximize the benefits you'll receive from racial and class selection.

    • 3

Choose your character's talent points. You'll want to pick a PVP, or player-versus-player oriented setup. Talents such as resistance to silence or snares and push-back control may come in handy during arena play.

    • 4

Gear up your new level 70 character by visiting the vendors on the arena tournament server. There are different vendors for weapons, armor and item enhancements like enchants or gems. You can chose items from high-level arena and raiding gear.

    • 5

Find an arena team on the server. Ask around until you meet a team looking for your skills, or just send out a message in the general channel advertising your class and specialization.

    • 6

Compete with your team in the tournament. You'll need to work together to advance after the qualifying rounds and beyond.
