Step 1
Bring up the main page for the online network or group whose blog you want to find.
-
Step 2
Create an account with that site if one is required. Some sites reserve blog access for members only.
-
Step 3
Log in to your account so you have access to members-only features.
-
Step 4
Study the site's primary links. These are the links designed to draw your attention when you first pull up the website. They are always prominently displayed, either in a list to one side of the screen or in an options bar across the top of the page.
-
Step 5
Determine if "Blogs" is one of the primary links. If so, you've found the gateway into the site's blogging community. If not, it's time for some more detailed searching.
-
Step 6
Use the search box that allows you to search the site, if the site has one. Simply type "blogs" into the search box and press enter. In a site with a search function, a search should immediately provide you with the pathway into the blogging community.
-
Step 7
Look down at the bottom of the site's homepage. In what is usually tiny type across the bottom there is a list of lesser-used site features. One of these may be the site map link, which brings up all the site's links grouped on one page. Click through to the site map and look for the "Blogs" link.
-
Step 8
Enter the blog topic or a specific blog author into the search box on the blog's page once you've found it if you want to locate a specific blog or blogger. A site's blogging community gateway page almost always has a search box because of the sheer volume of blogs a site generally supports.
