Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Use your wall space. Murals on the wall are great, then add fixtures to hang and display the clothes on. This helps set a mood for your store; for example, a mural of children at a park is great for a children's clothing store.
Step2
Place tables and hanging racks on the floor. Displaying some clothes folded and others hung adds color and texture to the sales floor. Racks come in several forms. Use the round ones to hold a quantity of like items. Square racks or facing racks show case unique items, by facing the front article towards the customer.
Step3
Mix and match pieces to show customers different outfits and combinations. Displaying different outfits allows the customer to see how things look together, and increases sales.
Step4
Place mannequins throughout the store. People like to see how the clothes are made to fit. A mannequin helps them envision the look of outfit or article of clothing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Avoid over filling any wall or rack. A cluttered look will have the customer looking elsewhere in an easier to shop environment.
  • A variety of racks holding different textures at different levels is ideal when displaying merchandise on the sales floor. This is visually stimulating and appealing at the same time.
