2. Ask your work or organization to hold a minute taker training workshop. Advise them of the benefits of accurate minutes. In addition, they may consider training more than one person to take minutes in case the main person is sick or otherwise indisposed and does not make that meeting.
3. Learn how to prepare for taking minutes. Formal, semiformal and action meetings all require different methods of taking minutes. Learn the correct procedure for the type of minutes you take.
4. Practice taking minutes. Your minute taker training provides practice work sheets to guide you in taking reliable minutes. The course also comes with examples of completed minutes for your review.
