Step 1
Wash your hair and thoroughly towel it dry. Apply a mousse or styling gel to help your hair hold its new style. If you've not worn your hair this way before, you'll need the products to help train your hair.
-
Step 2
Decide what side you want your hair parted on. Take into account your hair's natural cowlicks when you make this decision.
-
Step 3
Use a comb to part your hair in the right spot with the right style. Some prefer straight parts, while others part their hair in a zigzag pattern.
-
Step 4
Take the ends of your bangs in your fingers, and use a blow dryer to dry the roots. Start by drying the top of your bangs, then lift them up and blow dry underneath.
-
Step 5
Use a small comb or brush to continually flip your hair across your forehead as you dry the rest of your bangs. You can use the comb to train the your bangs to one side or curl them under. Then, dry the rest of your hair.
-
Step 6
Mist your hair with a freezing spray or a hair spray to hold your hair style in place. If you'd like, you can also use a little bit of styling wax to shape the ends of your side swept bangs so they stay put.
