Watching a sporting event can be nerve-wracking, fascinating and above all, exciting. Whether you're a die-hard fan of a professional sports team, your school organization or your child's community squad, find ways to support it and show your team spirit.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Wear clothing that identifies you as a fan. Try jerseys, hats, tote bags, scarves and buttons featuring team logos or colors. Also adorn your car with gear like bumper stickers, beads and banners. (See Resources)
Step2
Express your allegiance by cheering enthusiastically during games and defending your team in discussions with other sports enthusiasts on message boards and in person. Stay loyal to the team even when it's having a losing season. (See Resources)
Step3
Participate in fundraising events to help raise money for your community or school teams' travel or new equipment costs. Help boosters organize car washes, create strands of spirit beads or make items for bake sales, for example.
Step4
Try out for the cheerleading squad if you're athletically inclined. You can also support the team by participating during pep rallies or decorating your school with posters to support the team on game days.
Step5
Attend away games as much as possible. Although your team will get plenty of support when playing at home, it'll need all the fans it can get when playing at another school or stadium. Sit in the section closest to your team's cheerleaders and band to make even more noise.
Step6
Paint your face with team colors when you attend games or adhere to your cheek a temporary tattoo of your team's logo or initials created with self-adhesive gems.
