Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Select an essential oil that is uplifting like peppermint and a calming oil like lavender to relax. Mix a few drops of each one individually into a carrier oil and use which ever one suits your mood.

  2. Step 2

Massage yourself with cream if oil is not your thing. Cream will go on smoothly and be just as easy to glide across your body to warm up those muscles where it hurts.

  3. Step 3

Use a massage tool to help with problems like muscle spasms and back pain. These tools aid in difficult to reach areas and increase circulation during your self-massage.

  4. Step 4

Release toxic buildup in your tissues and muscles by doing a self-massage. Press your knuckles firmly into your tissue, releasing toxins, for a deep tissue massage.

  5. Step 5

Energize yourself and get ready for the day. This type of self-massage should be more vigorous. A great one to do is to tap your fingers one at a time in a quick motion on your cheekbone and forehead.

  6. Step 6

Cross your arms around your chest and place your hands on your shoulders. Then press down into your muscles and glide your hands all the way down to your fingers and continue rubbing them too. Repeat until you feel relaxed.
