Microdermabrasion treatments are one of the hottest new trends in skin care. Treat fine wrinkles, light acne scaring and uneven skin tones at home with an over-the-counter microdermabrasion treatment kit. Read on to learn how to use microdermabrasion kits.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Towels
  • Wash cloth
  • Warm water
  • Cleanser
  • Microdermabrasion cream
  • Skin repair serum
  • Moisturizer
  1. Step 1

Cleanse your face with a mild, moisturizing facial cleanser. Gently pat your face dry using a soft, absorbent towel.

  2. Step 2

Squeeze a quarter-sized amount of the microdermabrasion cream on your finger tips. Gently rub the fingers of both hands together to evenly distribute the cream on both hands.

  3. Step 3

Apply the cream to your face using a circular motion. Work over the surface of your face using a circular motion. Concentrate on the problem areas of your skin working a little longer in those areas.

  4. Step 4

Keep clear of the tender skin in the eye and mouth area. Do not apply microdermabrasion cream to your lips. Seek professional treatment for problems in the eye and mouth area.

  5. Step 5

Rinse the cream off using warm water and a soft cloth. Gently wipe the cloth on your face to remove the cream, do not scrub the treatment into your face with the cloth.

  6. Step 6

Thoroughly dry your face on a clean dry towel. Apply the skin repair serum to your face, and allow it to dry. Moisturize your face as usual, and then apply your makeup.

  7. Step 7

Closely follow the manufacturer instructions for use. Do not use microdermabrasion treatments more frequently than the manufacturer recommends--doing so can cause further damage to your skin.
