Read on to learn how to slice an apple using an apple cutter.

From Quick Guide: Apple Treats
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Select your apple. Remove the label and wash the apple thoroughly to remove any dirt or pesticides.

  2. Step 2

Place your apple on a surface that won't slip or get scratched, such as a cutting board or a plate. Make sure to place your apple so you can see the top of the stem.

  3. Step 3

Take your apple cutter and place it in the center of the apple so that the stem is in the middle of the cutter. This ensures that the center cut takes out the core.

  4. Step 4

Push hard on the apple cutter, applying even pressure as you go down to slice the apple. When you reach the bottom of the apple, apply additional force as this final cut is usually the hardest.

  5. Step 5

Pull the slices of the apple out of the cutter and set them aside. Throw away the apple core.

  6. Step 6

Clean the board and the apple cutter. Put these items away for future use.

Tips & Warnings
  • Peeling the apple prior to using the apple cutter allows you to use the slices for baking and also makes the final cut easier.
